Living in California for six months, I was lucky enough to stay in Downtown Anaheim for a a good while. Center Street Promenade is a fantastic little gem at the cross streets of Harbor Blvd. and Broadway. With The Gypsy Den (my favorite, I recommend the sangria!), $1 taco Tuesdays at the cafeteria, Bar Beer, the Cheese Shoppe, a handful of kitschy shops and vegan restaurants, and weekly events, if you're stuck in Anaheim, Center Street Promenade is the place to go!
